On July 21, 2025, Mr. Somkiat Comesook , Director of the Office of the President of North-Chiang Mai University, attended the opening ceremony of the new Emergency Room, Cancer Screening Room, and Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD) at Ban Khan Kaew Health Promoting Hospital, Han Kaew Subdistrict, Hang Dong District, Chiang Mai Province. The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Jakkarin Sirinthornphoom, District Chief of Hang Dong.
The newly opened medical facilities include a fully equipped emergency room for urgent care, a modern cancer screening unit, and a Central Sterile Supply Department responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing medical instruments to ensure they are safely reused for patient care.
This development marks a significant milestone in improving the local healthcare infrastructure and highlights the ongoing collaboration between government agencies, educational institutions, and the community to enhance healthcare services for the people.
